Looks like Hurricane BBQ is closed at the Airline location (formerly Hi Ho BBQ). Not sure if they moved or just closed.
Oki Nago's location is going to become an Asian grocery store and the sign said Oki Nago has moved to the East Buffet location on nearby Severn. Not sure what to make of that development because East Buffet was horrible, but we always liked Oki Nago.

Hurricane BBQ moved to Gentilly.
Was wondering about Oki Nago. East buffet is scary so I don't think I would go over there.

Where in Gentilly? I had Hurricane BBQ at Hogs for the Cause last year and thought it was really good. I work in Gentilly.

I saw the address on the old building on airline but don't recall it. I think they won the pork butt catoagory at HOGS a year or two ago.

their website has no mention of a new location.
They did win pork shoulder at hogs.
Has anybody made it to that place in the location of the former Shoneys by the end of Vets?
I remember some buzz about that place, but nothing else.

When I was in Met for business I would often go to some little small bar called foul play owned by a girl named Kimberly Usher. I would say it was probably eight years ago is that place still open? It had some pretty smoking hot bartenders and they served a killer fillet mignon

Haven't been, but they've been advertising on TV. Legacy is the name.

Looks like the new sushi joint opened up in the old Little Tokyo building.
Mr. Ed's oyster place should open Monday
And there is a New Orleans coffee and beignet place opening in the old Burger King on Vets by Causeway.
