Anyone have a go to over the counter bbq rib rub?

I am sick of Pit Masters saying "if i tell you I'd have to kill you."

Just wondering

i was laughing about that line the other day on one of the bbq shows. unless youre putting something completely obscure in the mix, odds are your rub is somewhat similar to whats already out there

ive got some dave's famous rib rub right now and i think its pretty good. im very much a noob when it comes to good rib rubs that can be bought in the store already made

Best out there and I am not a fan of the school. Love their rubs, spices, blueberry jam and cheese.

When I need to shop for rubs, I'll look at the first couple of ingredients. If it's salt, it gets put back on the shelf.

Right now, I've got a couple of these on hand...

Arthur Bryant's is my favorite.

You can buy it at Goodwood Hardware or online Heah

I am also especially partial to Daddy Hinkle's LINK

The Hotter 'N $700 variety is hard to beat.

I'll usually dust a little of both on there for good measure

McCormick Sweet & Smoky Rub. Has chipotle and cinnamon in it. Really good on pork shoulder and ribs.

I used Salt Lick's rub on two racks of babybacks Monday and it was damn good. Best ribs I have smoked yet. Bought it at HEB here in the Houston area. Not sure if they sell it at any grocery in La. I got tired of having mixed results with homemade rubs and decided to give it a try. Real nice blend of spice and sweetness.

my go to rub is: onion powder, crushed red pepper, chili powder, Spanish paprika, granulated garlic, sage, coriander, dry ginger, cumin, Cayenne pepper, black and white pepper

If I inject its: itialian dressing strained, apple juice, and some dry rub

then my kicker: i mix mustard, beer salt and pepper, and some of the strained dressing and rub my pork or brisket then put the dry rub on.

I don't think they do. I've had to order their rub and sauce from their website in the past.

Plowboy's Bovine Bold for Beef and Yardbird for pork and chicken are the best rubs I've ever used. They can be bought at Bass Pro Shops.
