Most Christian denominations are allowed to drink. Just being an alcoholic is frowned upon. Baptists are fine with people drinking.

ehh, not the ones I grew up around. Most of them look the other way and don't make such a big deal of it as they once did, but when you pin them down, they're still against it. The SBC regularly passes anti-alcohol resolutions.
