The Baton Rouge homebrew clubs got a lot of love yesterday in the Gambit's 'Brewsday Tuesday' post yesterday.

quote:

Toby Guidry’s Pour Mon Pere, Ashlyn Harmon and David Komendanchik’s Grapefruit Rye IPA and Nathan Heilman’s Motuekamber from Baton Rouge’s Brasseurs a la Maison; Ardennes Ale and Pale Ale on Chinook by Bicycle Brew Club, also out of Baton Rouge; George’s Beer and Homebrewery’s George’s Red Ball; Redstick Brewmasters’ () Fade to Black IPA; and Brewstock Homebrew Supply’s Belgian Dark Strong Ale. That barely scratches the surface of all of the homebrew offerings— there was a lot to take in.

Tastes a little like Magic Hat and a Saison had a love child... will not try again

That's disappointing.

Did DFH do a Festina Peche this year? I feel like I didn't see anyone posting about it this year.

This is one of the best homebrews I've ever had. So good.

Still at work. FBD soon. A nice little afternoon may be in the works.

I made it through all 26... not really a bad beer in the bunch.

I was looking for the DFH Festina Peche when I found the Terrapin's Peach Farmhouse. It's not terrible, just not something I'd seek out again.

Festina Peche is supposed to be their June/July seasonal this year, but I haven't seen it anywhere.

No beer yet. But headed to PH in about 2 hours to drink beer and record a podcast with some buddies. Will be good times. Might try that Abita Strawator to see how that is.

I don't care for fruit beers so I didn't go back for seconds but I thought it was pretty darn good.

I'm kind of pissed I missed this one.

I was only able to make it over there once during setup. I think they gave me a Watermelon Kolsch and an Apricot IPA. Both were very well done.
