Driving ranges in Covington/Mandeville area?

I tried this on the other board, with not much of a response.

I just moved to Madisonville and am wondering if there is a driving range somewhere close? I don't have any interest in getting a membership to any of the private courses around.

I know of Ironwood in Hammond, but that's the closest that I'm familiar with. There has to be something closer though

Well damn. If I were loaded with cash, i'd find a chunk of land an open up just a driving range with a serious sports bar.

I live right across from Tchefuncte. I'm not sure what the specifics are on joining or if it's even possible to join, but i'm sure they are higher than a giraffes arse. I don't play that much to justify spending retarded amounts of money on a membership.

Couple years ago I went to one off 1085 in Covington. It was on Rousseau Rd I believe. It was a goat ranch, but the only local place besides abita to hit balls

Decent track. need to hit a draw out there. We used that as one of our practice courses in HS. I have no idea what the dues are but its not gonna be super cheap

Abita is the only course with a range that allows non members.

There are no ranges outside of country clubs.

I think it went out of business.

Pay $1.00 to go to Fountainbleau State Park, tee up a bag of range balls and wack away into the lake.

Tchefuncte just emailed me the brochure with membership pricing.

You would either have to be a serious OT baller to pay that or be real freaking serious about some golf.

I just want to hit a few balls every other week or so.

They need a Top Golf type place over there on the Northshore. I'm not really into golf, but I've played at the one here in Dallas a few times and it's fun as hell.

That's kinda what I was getting at earlier. I believe there is definitely a market for it here (there is plenty of money and golfers around here).

Stock: $500.00
Initiation Fee: $8,000.00
Monthly Dues: $246.95

That's just for an individual not a family, and does not include all the cart fee b.s. and whatnot.

You sure that's not for family? That's about what I pay for Beau Chene and that includes the family. On the other hand, my Camp Creek membership rates would cover both Beau Chene and Tchefuncta.

Stock: $500.00
Initiation Fee: $8,000.00
Monthly Dues: $308.71

Family plan.

Apparently Tchefuncte > Beau Chene
