I just remember JJ was sorta holding his breath that the kid didn’t sign with the pro’s. ...

What happened to Cam Johnson

Posted by GA Tiger on 4/22/24 at 12:38 pm
He was a top recruit & if I remember correctly LSU was lucky that he didn’t sign with a pro team. He was supposed to compete to be a weenie d starter. ...

re: Kling can't hit.

Maineri had a kid (can’t remember name) who didn’t hit well but was a great CF. Blond-headed boy who made many great catches. He was almost an automatic out but he played because he could cover half the OF on his own. ...

re: Who is coaching these hitters?

Well when “Jay” came to LSU I remember reading that his strength was coaching hitters. I think that really means if you have good hitters he’s good at coaching hitters. ...
I’m not even defending that move by Jay but how many have you won?
Well I did win the pitch-machine championship one year. Does that count? ...
No. Jay has it figured out. He’ll haven’t you heard? He’s won 1,000 championships! ...
And Mainieri won with Smoke’s players
How long after Laval’s last year did PM win NC?...
Yet have they won a title? Win a lot of regular season games and choke in the post season.
I think Skip lost at least 1 before he started a streak. ...
can't believe some people would rather be more consistent will less championships, but here we are. DVH in his entire 34 year career has played for one championship. Jay has already exceeded him. I can't believe we are to the point where LSU fans would rather be more consistent without the ...

Major major mental funk

Posted by GA Tiger on 4/17/24 at 2:50 pm
Several years ago Chuck Knoblack (sp?) played 2nd base for the Yankees. He went through a period where he couldn’t throw to 2nd. It was a major mental funk for him. I think that’s a big part of what LSU is going through. They went pre-season good although schedule was weak. And beginning of con...
Based off of what? Jay is like 20 years younger than Dave Van Horn and is already just as proven.
How is he just as proven; cause he won one Natty with primarily another Coach’s players? ...
Free BJs after games. From a pig with lipstick
I’m sure it helps with recruiting. ...
Year but he’s in the hunt most years. I don’t know expect Johnson to win the CWS every year or even the SEC but my Lord, I didn’t expect this kind of drop. I KNOW..they lost a lot but they should re-load. ...
JJ >>> CPM
You are full of shite. FULL of shite!!! ...
Jimbo Fisher won a NC at FSU but look how T A&M came out for him. ...
Jay was brought in to build a program that consistently competes for titles, and so far, he's failing.
Laugh all you want. Hell, they have fallen off a damn cliff this year. ...

re: JJ missed on some talent evaluation
He is no longer in the Pac12 playing mediocre teams. He spent his career playing in a league not near as good as the SEC. He is the #1 reason why LSU is having this type of season. He is in charge of recruiting, player development, and making the lineup cards. The players he won the title wit...
