My wife and I spending our 30th anniversary in the Quarter. If you could only eat at one restaurant in the Quarter which one would it be and why? Not eating anywhere outside the Quarter.

It really depends on what you're going for in regard to food and the celebration.

I would suggest Stella! or Arnaud's Jazz Bistro. The Bistro is more festive in atmosphere. The other would be more on the romantic side.

R'evolution is another you might want to consider. It's high priced but has gotten some pretty good reviews on the board.

See if you can get a table on the patio at Bayona. Hard for me to envision a better place for that kind of evening.

Great Rec, I would also suggest Mr. B's.

There are some terrible choices in this thread.

But yeah, its Stella!.

If that is too fancy for you, then Bayona or Irene's.

Stella is the fanciest.

Bayone or Irene's are great. Bayona more romantic, Irene's more happening.

Maximo's is putting out some good food as well, as is the Italian Barrell. I also like Adolfo's in the Marigny for casual, funky romantic atmosphere.

Yeah I know.

Go spend your 30th anniversary at Maspero's and you might get murdered by your wife.

1. Stella!
2. Bayona
3. Galatoire's (not romantic, but great for special occasions).
