I won't have a weekend off for three weeks after this weekend, so I'm headed to Toledo when I get off today. They're calling for a low of 27 tomorrow night and the high may not even hit 50 but damnit in going to catch some bass!

I would love to but it's just too damn cold for the yak. Plus I gotta cook in a chili cook off Saturday. Next weekend looks like it will be perfect tho.

Yup, in the same boat as you...looks like work on the future weekends. Gonna head out to the basin to try an pick up some cold weather bass and sac au lait.

The only thing nice bout cold weather fishing is that you don't need to worry about launching till 10 in the morn.

Good luck everyone.

Caught 2 reds and some trout yesterday evening. I'm sure y'all wouldn't consider it cold here in Cocoa Beach but dammit I do.

Was thinking about it earlier this week, but there is no way in hell after spending all day in an airboat yesterday. It was only 50 but I still froze.

Also saw a gator easily over 10 feet out trying to warm up.

We have our annual camp meeting at the deer lease this Saturday. The bride and I are going up Saturday morning. The meeting is at 1. We had talked about trying the Sac a Lait in the Buffalo river or bass in the beaver ponds but it is going to be butt arse cold. Pretty sure she won't want to get in the boat.

I guess we will just look for sheds and turkey sign.

I'm thinking it's going to be a good day. I'm bringing shinners in case around noon I don't have a bass on ice.

I'll be in Sorrel at my typical grounds. I did make note of a place I want to go if the fish are slow.
