Red River Brewery

Great Raft Brewing

2 breweries coming to Shreveport-Bossier City area. Looking forward to it. Sounds like Great Raft will be canning and selling before Red River. Don't care if it's "Germans", already been posted, etc.... Just spreading the word.

Is Red River Brewery going to be over near Barrett's Appliance?

I know the founder of Great Raft. I'm looking forward to sampling some of the beers.

Never heard of Red River, but I graduated from high school with the two that are starting Great Raft. I tried some of their beer at Brew, and almost invested in the company. I look forward to being able to get some good, local beers around here. It's about time!

So the beer is good? Having a saison as an initial offering is pretty ambitious.

Wouldn't happen to be related to any Barcelonas from Parkway, would you?

We went to a tasting at twine on line last week and they had a few different types. All were excellent IMHO.

So Ryan is your brother? I played baseball with him for a long time.

Yeah. Actually went to Airline a grade above Ryan but always played baseball against and with him growing up. Go to LSU now and see him around.

The Saison they serves at Brew was a Peach Saison and in my not so official opinion, it was pretty good. Not too hoppy, a real light, fresh flavor. I would definitely drink it again.

The batch they had at the tasting seemed even better than the batch he had at brew. Looking forward to them moving forward. They keep a pretty updated Facebook page as well and are trying new things all the time.
