FBD: Brooklyn Lager. I didn't have to run for it, though; just drive from my office to the bar... ...

(A life long runner, I had to give up running 6 months ago because of back issues. I'm really quite envious )

So much for that weight loss competition, my competition never even tried. That being said, here is my return haul:

I'd say you did very well.

BCS gets tons of love here, but the only ones I've had were old and sucked. Don't wait to drink it. That Rogue will get shite on, but I thought it was better than average. Haven't had that Jewbelation, but the description sounds pretty awesome. Ruination is a 10, a fricking 10! Chimay blue is regarded as the best Chimay, I believe, but I havent had it either.

I was sorely disappointed that Calandros was out of Ommegang abbey ale AND three philosphers. I want to try 3P pretty damn bad. I'm going to try the BCS tonight. Saving the Jewbelation for Superbowl Sunday, and will probably just sip on that throughout the game.

Eta

thanks guys. obviously I'm still learning, but I tend to remember the beers you guys post most about (for better or for worse )

This. I have to do my runs at 5am and don't get to enjoy beer (except maybe on Friday) until 6pm or later. I hate you.

Its very very good, but although yes it is considered Chimay's best, I find it hard to say that when compared to their Blanc and Rouge which are quite different its like comparing apples and oranges.

You learn by trying...this board has great tips on stuff to try or not try, but ultimately as a wise man once said on here, you like what you like...only way to figure out what you like is by sampling.

I try to do them during the week when the wife and kids are occupied. I keep stuff in my car and if the office looks like it is under control then I sneak off to the trail.

I wouldn't even know a good place to run 24 miles. I don't drive 24 miles in a day.

I was really craving this today on my run and stopped at a little place that I had seen it at before. Grab a bottle and checked the drink by date and it was October 20........12!!! WTF! they had one other bottle with the same date. Throw that in the trash before some gets it and says, "Yeah, it wasn't that good, I don't get the hype"
