DiMartino's in Gretna

Pho Hoa on Manhattan, if you like pho. There is also a Pho Bang opening up on Manhattan, but not sure when they open.

Olive Branch Cafe in Algiers or Marrero.

O'Briens Grill is really good. Little more formal, little more pricey. But the duck quesadillas are great.

They're moving again? They're currently on the Expressway Service Road a couple of blocks from Manhattan, although they were previously on Manhattan.

It's a decent place. If you're going today, it's the only day to get their signature item (Da Wabbit).

I asked about that to someone the other day, because I don't know if they're moving or just opening another one. The new location is close to Lapalco in a recently renovated shopping center type building. Not quite as far down as NO Hamburger and Seafood.

I saw them put up the sign on Saturday. I haven't been to the current one, because Pho Hoa is closer to me, but the new location will be even closer, so they'll get my business.

It's sort of a weird pseudo national chain. They have Pho Bang locations all over (Houston, NY, Mobile), but they all seem to be basically independently run. I can't imagine they're opening another on the Westbank, but I'm surprised that they'd be moving again. The lady who runs the place there now is really nice, but I haven't been in lately. I need to stop by.

I don't care for Pho Hoa at all. For pho, I prefer Tan Dinh, Nine Roses and Pho Tau Bay.

But I definitely +1 your recommendation of O'Brien's Grille. It's really very, very good. I think their steaks are better than Ruth's Chris and right up there with Mr. John's. And their BBQ shrimp are the best I've ever had.
