No love for the red maple which is soon to be deanie's??

Red Maple is closing?

Gattuso's is just o.k. It's all Sysco stuff. It's fine for what it is...which is a great bar that serves food. Even though it's Sysco...their roast beef po boy is really good.

Yeah. I talked to the owner of the Olive Branch the other day and he was saying Red Maple is about to become a Deanie's.

I've been to Red Maple a bunch for both lunch and dinner, and almost every time have been underwhelmed.

One place I can't believe is still open is Beef Connection.

Cafe De Blasi in Terrytown has some good Italian. Empress of China and China Doll for Chinese. They have some okay chains Zea's, Izzo's and New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood on Manhattan. Went to Tan Dinh for the first time today and the chargrilled pork spring rolls were awesome. Also got the short rib steam buns which was solid. There's a bunch of sushi places but Cafe Zen is always pretty good.

I've got a jobsite on General DeGaulle and have been on the Wank at least twice a week since July.

Di'Martino's is great and very underrated.
I built the New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood two years ago. It is also very good.
Moe's is excellent as well.
Red Maple is good, just not my cup of tea for lunch.

I have the same opinion on Gattuso's.

Red Maple used to be better at one time but it is just so-so now. Although I haven't been in a while.

I'm over that way often, as I am all over NOLA, the N. shore, BR, Laffy, and everywhere else

Maybe we should do lunch one day, (no homo) I get tired of eating by myself

O'Briens Grill. Across the parking lot from the old Mud Bugs. Best kept secret on the West Bank. Awesome steaks and daily specials. Pricey but well worth it. Better than Ruth's Chris.

Just recently moved into the space where the Who Dat Grille was. A thai place opened in their old space, haven't tried it yet though.
