Any of you OB guys have experience with Cabela's Club Visa? Friend put me on it and it looks legit...considering that nearly all my disposable cash goes to hunting, shooting, fishing, beer, women and gas.

It looks legit and a good deal.....give me your pros and cons....thanks

I use American Express Blue Cash..... The AMEX gives you cash back, whereas u can use anywhere.... Not just at Cabelas.

The Blue Cash Card is much better than other cash-back cards, as it has 2% on purchases, 3%-5% on Gas & Groceries (depending on how much you spend every month obviously.

I put almost everything on it..... Considered starting to put my house note on it each month. Over the last 3 years, I accumulated enough cash it paid a months bill for me......

Cash is King!

Im sure Cabelas is great for Cabelas store, I just would rather get cash and decide where I buy, not tied to Cabelas

I have one. I think the percentage of reward is higher than cash back cards because it is basically "in-store credit". Also, with cash back, it tends to get "absorbed", whereas cabelas points seems more like treat to me. To each his own. I've had mine for probably 10 years, and I have no complaints whatsoever.

I have one and I'm satisfied with it. I pay almost all of my bills and daily purchases with it and just pay off the balance each month so I pay no interest and I probably get about $20-$30 a month in points. If you spend $10,000 a year with it you become a signature member and the points go up for purchases at Cabela's. It goes up again after $25,000.

I have one. On top of the rewards already mentioned, Cabelas will run promotions for card holders such as free shipping. May not be much incentive if you are clsoe to a physical store, but for someone who does alot of mail order its a nice perk.

Considered getting one....but figured it would be bad idea, cause I know I would max that baby out the minute I got it!

I had one but could never find anything in Cabela's to use my points on. Ended up buying a kitchen knife set with the points then transferring the balance to the same kind from BassPro only I used the card too much trying to earn points so I cut it up.

I've had one for years. The points add up pretty good.

I think I'm about to switch to an Academy card being that I get Academy a lot more often and their prices are better.

Same here. I accumulate a good bit of points every year which come in handy at Christmas.

At cabelas 1 point = $.01

Bps 1 pt = $.02 AND you get a $50 gift card after u put $100 on it in the first 3 months.

Seriously considering the bps card for gas, groceries n bills n pay it off at the end of each month

No card is worth any of those promos if you dont keep a zero balance. We do the flier miles and fly our family back and forth to disney for free. This sounds alot better to me, so I might have to get something. Anyone know what Academy's promo/reward is?

I have one and love it, great customer service, and they mail you lots of good deals for 4-12X points on certain items, I put just about everything on it and pay it off weekly on the computer, last year I cashed in almost a thousand dollars on a Tikka Rifle, and I already have $500 worth of points now. I agree that there are better reward cards out there for cash etc, but as someone else said if you get cash back I would blow it on regular expenses, when I cash in the points it is like a Christmas gift to myself....it works for me but to each his own

Don't want to hijack but you need to upgrade to the new blue cash preferred

75 dollar annual fee but well worth it for the 6% cb at groceries and 3 at gas stations

I'm a CC rewards junkie
