I had a lot of great beers this year. I really enjoyed the new beers I found from Highland out of North Carolina. Also had a Terrapin Dark Side Belgian Style Imperial Stout that I was storing and it was great. Finished the year off with a Bayou Teche Joie à Tous, which was one of the most unique beers I've had. LINK

On a sad note, someone accidently drank my only bottle of Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversary - Fritz And Ken's Ale (Imperial Stout). Luckily, I still have the barley wine. I put it in a better place.

I tried countless new beers this year through the power of the Krewe of FBD BXN--some I don't even remember!

I also met some really nice people because of beer. I remember all of those.

Fbd: southern star proam. My first time and it is awesome.

I made a huge wine, beer, and bourbon hall from specs today. I'll post the pit tomorrow but I'm pumped about the hall. I'm gonna try to find some more of this proam before I leave because I fricked around and only got a four pack. Thatks just not gonna work!

Heres to another year of great beers, more breweries distributing in LA and to the new local breweries starting in 2013.

FBD will be soon.

Looks great, Kim!

Mrs. Vedder had to work; I'm on baby Vedder watch at the moment but will get started in a couple of hours.

will likely kick off with a glass of Jefferson Reserve Bourbon, and then move on to beer.

Yes, I really like it. Good news is that the current Pro-Am beer is going to be a year-round brew called Valkyrie, evidently.

No debate here. I agree. I like stopping at their place in Opelousas where you can get both Ray's and Billy's recipe in the same store. Their pepperjack cheese boudin balls and crawfish boudin are also really tasty.

Second hijack-KJ, if you ever make it back down I-10, I've got some pillage from Houston and beyond to share from my little side BXN gig.

F&SBD were/are homebrew wheat ales. A few more days in the keg have done this beer good. Much less harsh today. Should have conditioned it longer in secondary.

Brewing a pale ale with honey from LoneStarTiger tomorrow while watching bowl games. This one will be for a crowd.
