As good as the original? Coming to New Orleans for the Bowl game Saturday and want some oysters.

Go for the oysters, but I wouldn't eat the whole meal there.

Its the same, meaning that it sucks. There is only one dish worth getting at Drago's, and that's the Charbroiled Oysters, which are always amazing. Everything else blows.

If you want to stay in that area, get the charbroiled at Drago's, leave and then go over to the Warehouse District and eat at Cochon, Cochon Butcher, ROOT, La Boca, Rock n Sake, Tommy's ,etc. instead.

It's overrated but I wouldn't say it blows.

Along with the oysters, they've boiled a decent lobster for me in the past. Just pick your size.

If you want oysters along with some decent other food, go to Felix's ETA: They dont have a liquor license right now so its BYOB. NVM just saw that they closed

I'd go to Remoulade or the Bourbon House for raw. That's just me though.

uh no I despise this location it's not set up like a restaurant, it's like tables in a hotel lobby loud and no the food doesn't match Metry for me anyway I'd do Acme for charbroiled and raw plus you can get other decent food there

Sat at the bar (drink bar) last week and had a couple dozen raw and a half dozen charbroiled. Oysters were awesome. The actual bar staff service sucked though.

Drago is better than acme Acme is smaller and loud and jammed. You'll prob have to wait cuz of the tourists. They don't take reservations either

Here's your definitive answer. Drago's at the Hilton isn't in the same ballpark as the original (I have no idea why that should be the case, but it is). I won't eat there. That said, other than the oysters, most of the rest of the menu at both places is mediocre (with a couple of exceptions, perhaps, in Metairie). Acme and Felix's are nothing special, imo. Acme has decent oysters, but I'll go anywhere before I'll wait in line to get in the place. The last few times I tried Felix's (the last time probably being a decade ago ) it sucked all around. Glad to be of help.
