Flying Squirrels in Attic

Mother of God I hate these things. Anyone else had a problem with them? Last year, they came in during the winter. They only come in when its cold. I can not find where they are getting in at.

Now they are back. Started last night. Very very loud...

About to break out the traps again till they are all caught..

They will be pretty nice if you get into a shooting house with them

re: Flying Squirrels in Attic

I have to set the big spring traps. i tried to use a live trap but they get out. Little bastards can get out of a quarter size hole. It sux to have to trap them but they are chewing shite up. I looked around my attic for hours and could not find where they are coming in.

Caught two babies under carport when I was in middle school. Very cool pet when they are little, but as soon as those nutts drop, all they do is bite the shite out of you

They cant resist peanut butter. I can catch one everyday. Some days two. Until they are gone.

Is the entrance to your attic inside your house only or is there one in your garage?

Because a cat is your answer if you can just leave the entrance to your attic open in your garage. No ladder down so the cat stays out of the attic. One by one the squirrels will drop down into the garage and the cat will get 'em.

You can train them by making the bite a spoon and putting a little noose around their neck and letting them jump and hang for a few seconds. Do this for 20 min a day for two weeks and they're pretty tame. I gave one to a girl in middle school that kept it through high school.

We would catch them with pecans

I have a two story home with a full basement. The entrance is on the second story of my home. No way and my wife cant be around cats so that is out.

They are flying onto my roof at night then climbing in a very small opening somewhere. The holes in my live trap are not much bigger than a quarter and they can get out. Its not going to be easy...

Put glue traps up there. Then take a 9-iron and get them off the glue trap.

Not much meat, but good with dumplings and gravy. Nice game flavor. They make nice tamales too. Be careful to pick out the little claws.
