What would yall recommend as the best lite-med weight rain gear, regardless of price.

After this weekend, I have had enough!

I've had two sets of Frogg Toggs and didn't like them. They are in my boat, and I still wear them fishing, but they make too much damn noise to wear hunting. I'd rather just get wet.

Bowies got some new stuff in, forgot the name, but it looks real good. Very quiet and breathable. Not to expensive either. I think it was 99 bucks for the set.

Browning Deluge has some nice stuff. Also, the Cabela's brand looked pretty nice the other day.

If price is no option, Sitka.

I have a Simms gore-tex jacket that is wonderful. I've had it for 10+ years and it for the most part still looks new save for all the fish slime on it.

Would never buy frogg toggs. Me and my buddy both had them on this weekend hunting in the rain. We both left with the wet arse.

I don't buy their stuff because they support too many wacky environmentalists.

Here's a quote from Patagonia's website:

quote:

Environmental Grants
We give at the grassroots level to innovative groups overlooked or rejected by other corporate donors. We fund activists who take radical and strategic steps to protect habitat, wilderness and biodiversity. We have given more than $43 million to more than 1,000 organizations since our grants program began.

For good rain gear there is a direct corrleation between breathability and cost. You can skimp and be protected from rain but you bet your arse your going to be sweating in warmer temps

I have a bunch of jackets, but this is by far my favorite all around. It's made by Filson, it'll last you forever
