Need to know the one place in Boston that I need to go

I'm gonna have half a free day in Boston in a few weeks. My flight gets in around 1:30PM and I don't have anything to do until the next morning.

So, I need that one place that I absolutely have to go to, and I'm not talking Legal or Union Oyster House. In other words, I don't necessarily want to go somewhere that's quintessential Boston, I just want to eat at one of the best restaurants in Boston if that makes sense.

So...what y'all got?

ETA: One more caveat that I forgot, is that I won't have transportation. Cab and T only. I'm gonna be staying in Copley Square, so something closer to there would be perfect.

Looking at Boston Magazine's 50 best (there's a nifty map view so I can view close to my hotel) and this is standing out...anyone been?

Hope that write up is better than 225 magazines top restaurants article.

But that menu does look good.

And as ridiculous at it may sound, the website is constructed well. I look at that as a sign that they care and put some effort in to making you feel like you are going to have an excellent meal.

If you're interested in a good beer bar this chart is a good reference point. LINK

I've only been to Deep Ellum. It's a cool spot but a little further away from the city proper.

Also check out Rino's out by the airport for some good Italian. Saw it on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. They have delicious food.

There's a popular burger place by Harvard that's really good too.

Not the most classy but my personal favorite place is Parish Cafe on Mass Ave. A bunch of famous local chefs were asked to create a sandwich for the menu...best damn sandwich I ever ate.

Parish was good.

Mama Maria's and Neptune oyster bar were exceptional.

Da Chees Bah is still there, but Sammy's no longer there. Don't know about Cliffy or Normie.

I'm looking for somewhere for dinner tonight for around 50-70/ person with drinks. I'm staying in Beacon Hill so something in that area would help.

Might as well get a few after waiting in line.

If Mike's line is too long, go to Modern Pastry about two blocks away.

Neptune Oyster is the bomb (and in that same neighborhood). No reservations, tiny place. They'll take your cell # and call you when the table is ready. Meanwhile, you can walk around the neighborhood. I had a 45 min. wait.
