KMSY -> KATL in a Delta L1011. On final (probably about 25 seconds after turn) into Atlanta, hit a microburst. fricking magazines, headphones, etc. floating in midair. I've never heard engines spool up to a scream so fast. Had to have been close to 2 or 2.5 gees when it recovered, gear and flaps tran...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)

Luckily, I was smart enough to plan it out so that most everything could be prepped well in advance. The pasta and flatbread doughs were the only things I really had to do "from scratch" that night. The menu: Cheese board w/ pickled watermelon rind, pickled caramelized onions, tomato jam, and garlic confit Roasted beets, microgreens, daikon shoots, chevre, an...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (6)
Sod laid at new house last week - when/what to do for weed&feed type stuff? - Schwartz on 1/20/15 at 8:05 am
Moving in to a new house on the 13th. Sod was laid late last week. They're watering it, so I'm not worried about that, but trying to figure out what to do as far as weed & feed or fertilizer. Any suggestions on what product to use, and when to apply it so that my grass looks kickass in a few months?...

It didn't break, luckily. He's very proud of himself, though. Also, whilst scraping down the side of the bowl: "Scrape scrape scrape, scrape scrape scrape, scrape scrape scrape scrape scrraappeee" to the tune of jingle bells. I'm glad I stayed home this morning....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
