we just got back from Navarre ... went to the pier just to check it out. They had a ton of people every day that we were there (we could of course see them from the beach).

Hard to tell about the fishing ... saw some catching ... seems to me we saw more people with more stuff than they needed (this whole buggy system with TONS of rods etc) for what they caught. But I'm the mom who went with hubby and kids so I may not be your best source of info!

It's always worth bringing your stuff, right? Call them ... I want to say you can rent a rod/pole whatever and buy bait there.

Will be there Saturday through the following Sunday...I can watch them fish off the pier from the condo...Last year I watched them, it was nothing impressive. Looks like a lot of work for a bunch of crap...Looked like more of headache and aggravation and each angler had about 6 rods out at a time...lots of tangles...My binnoculars spent more time glassing the beach (.)(.) than the pier...See a lot of sting rays in the surf...lady fish...stuff like that...I'm too busy enjoying the beach/sites/beer to worry about catching those fish...To each his own though...Better fishing at home anyways! Did I just say that?
