Correct roundup will not kill it, roundup is intended to kill grassy weeds. If you want to kill it or keep it from growing in certain areas, I spray a mixture of roundup and 24d. Probably straight 24d will do it but I always have it mixed because it pretty much knocks out all weeds. It will knock it...

Lowes & Home Depot have the cheapest prices at $4.97 per bale. These are the smaller square bales. However, the bales at the nurseries seem to have more straw and are cleaner. Or you can get the large round bales for around $16 at most nurseries...
