Looking for ideas for casual restaurants in the quarter. Not a place you would have to dress up, but a place jeans or nice shorts would be ok. Would be going at night if that matters.

Also I have reservations at Muriel's for different night. Anyone have feed back on this place. Never been.

Palace Cafe is really good, it and Muriel's are great choices in the Quarter.

Muriels is great.

I suggest Mr. B's as your other choice.

Went Friday night, service was terribly slow and the entree I had was underwhelming.

As someone else suggested, Sylvain meets all of you criteria. It's kind of hipster like, but it's in the FQ, casual, and the food is excellent. It has a pub like feel to it and if the weather is nice, al fresco dining is also a possibility if you call in advance. Very cool spot.

I love Mr B's and Palace Cafe. Need to try Muriel's after seeing this board rave about it numerous times.

Eat Nola (not NOLA) on the corner of daphene and dumaine. They don't have a liquor license so there is no corkage fee. Great food.

I have not been but have heard good things from some people I trust about their restaurant opinions.
