Just tried dumplings the other day and i really liked them. I had them at the sushi place right by the north gates of campus in a lunch bento box. They were steamed but I see a lot of places also do them fried but I havent tried the fried ones yet.

Was at PF Changs the other day for happy hour and had their steamed shrimp dumplings, which were pretty good but I figure there are much better places to get them.

What places should I go to?

I know this is food board blasphemy to give positive comments to chains in BR, but I agree with you about PF Changs shrimp dumplings. I think those things are delicious. They have some type of pork dumplings at Rock n Saki that they call "Gyoza" or something like that, which are pretty good too.

I know that Dim Sum off of Airline has several varieties and many people like the place; however, I've been there twice and didn't care for it either time.

I've never done the dumplings at Waka House, but they do a good job with everything else so I'm sure they're good. I also recommend their sweet&sour crispy fish appetizer.. baby smelts fried crispy and drizzled with a tasty sauce.

You should try making your own. I bought a steamer for less than 10 bucks. It's a lot cheaper and you have the flexibility to experiment with them. Hardest part is making them look nice.

I use this recipe:

Have only eaten them steamed from Waka House. They are money every single trip so I've never tried them fried.

Go to Sushi Masa.

Their gyoza is on par with Waka and you can eat until you burst.

Mass is becoming my go-to sushi place. I've been 4 times and the food is fresh, plentiful, and of good quality.

The service blows, however

Dumplings are one of my favorite foods. The New Panda take out place on Highland and Jefferson are awesome.

Chicken Dumplings/Pot stickers at the Fresh Market Deli. They need to be cooked - steamed, pan fried or even... microwaved. Comes with good dipping sauce.

I've had them at multiple places in town and cooked my own. The Fresh Market ones are damn good.
