This place is quickly becoming my favorite go-to pizza in the BR area. I live in BR but the in-laws are out here and I try to get pizza from Roma when we are out here.

Anyone else think this stuff blows anything else away? I'm a big pizza guy.

Never had it. I have had regular pepperoni and we just had a supreme. It's good stuff.

I work near there. The owner is Italian. Not guido, he is the real deal born and raised in Italy.

You would never know it by looking at the place, but they have really good Naples style pizza.

It is real deal stuff. We saw a Groupon deal for Roma that said he lived in NYC and owned a NY style pizza joint in NY before moving to Louisiana.

I started talking to him and he said he has dough, sauce, cheese....every ingredient except onions shipped in twice a week from New York. It's good stuff if you like big, NY style, thin crust, greasy pizza which to me, is the only real pizza.

Love it. Great guy, awesome bread, fresh tomatoes on his sandwiches. Only thing is that I need a nap after I eat there. Every time I have to go home after for an emergency nap I haven't been in a while, but he used to do pizza by the slice too.

Roma Pizza is my go-to pizza. I've touted it on the board a few times. Omar is super friendly. He's the kind of business owner you really want to see do well. I think he suffers from the ghost of Hoggie N Deaux's pizza in that location. H&D Pizza sucked arse, so I think it left some stink on pizza from that shopping center.

I guess it's the sauce, but there's some magical flavor combo that his pizza's find.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it is Naples style pizza. I think it's a true New York style with true NY ingredients. Not sure where the owner is from, but I'm pretty sure English wasn't his first language.

This is the reason I haven't been. I just assumed that H&D did a name change. Last time I walked into H&D, they were playing some old school DJ Quik "Don't Eat the Pu**y" while they were cooking!

I liked Johnny D's for a while (the hit & miss issues got to be too much). I think Roma's is a different animal. More of a hold & fold type of pizza. I have co-workers who take an extended lunch occasionally and drive from I12/Sherwood down to Roma's.

Just tried this place last night.

Very good, authentic New York Style pizza. You can tell the guy uses quality ingredients. We will definitely be back.

Anyone know how long this place has been open?
