Are their thin crusts new york style or the crappy cracker crunch type that we have down here?

I can't stand the thin crusts down here. It's almost no crust.

It's true, real NY style, chewy thin crust.....no Dominos cracker crap.

His family owns a pizza joint in NYC so he knows what it's about.

Cash.... I showed Omar the thread on my IPhone last night while I was there... He was very excited, but I don't think he could read, so I had to read everything to him myself.

Just tried it. Will be my only pizza from now on while home. I'm so glad it's close to the house. The owner was very nice. My girls love with the crust.

Picked up a large pizza for takeout. Introduced myself to Omar and told him I read about him on this website. He thought it was great. Pizza was $17.42 and I thought I had cash and pulled out $17 and started to pull out a card and he said "that's fine" you are good, but I had change in my pocket to cover it in cash. It's great to support that kind of business.

I'm going to have to try it again. Opie or Rag, what was the name of DeAngelo's first shop in Hammondaire? Wasn't it something like Roma?

Count me in the number of new Roma fans. Omar was as gracious as you all describe.

Two of us just tore up a 16" meat lover's pie along with some garlic knots. Now it's time to drift off into Roma-coma land.

I totally agree with everyone assessment of Roma's Pizza. Picked up 2 mediums on the way home Thurs.. Very good pizza and a totally different style than any other pizza joint in Baton Rouge. Also Omar's a hoot. Great to have a place like this in B.R.
