I have been invited to a crawfish boil this weekend. The next day I travel up north for a job interview. I always heard that you smell nasty for a couple days after a boil as all the concoction weeps out of your pores. I never noticed this...is this just a myth? I always bathe right after a boil to get all that smell off but did not think it stayed with you the next day.

I really want some crawfish too.

Put yourself in a freezer and that should help with the smell...

Double up on your garlic intake so it will counter the boil concoctions.

I would love to be at the crawfish boil and watch you explain to your friends that you are not eating because you have a job interview tomorrow. LOL

Yeah I would look like a total wimp and the peer pressure would kick in and next thing you know I am face first in the crawdads, so I would be better off not going.

I have heard that even with showers the smell remains until the garlic and zatarains is purged from your system. I never noticed this though.

Smelling like boiled crawfish will enhance your chances of landing the job.

Unless you're me and eat 2 full heads of garlic, you'll be fine.
Last time I ate crawfish, I smelled for a couple days because I ate 2 heads of garlic. I learned my lesson

Seriously, crawfish won't make you stink hahaha. Go eat it!

I've never heard this or smelled it on other people. I've certainly never had it happen to me. Eat the crawfish.

If you came into my office smelling of a crawfish boil, I would hire you immediately hoping to be invited to the next boil.

I say you should bathe in the boil.
