re: Outdoor Hose reel HELP - Nawlens Gator
These are the best money can buy. Stainless steel and will last a lifetime. I've ordered 3 from this guy and they are top notch. I've had two 110 and one 112 model premiums for years. [link=(http://southwestreel.com/id96.html)]Southwest Reel[/link] ...

re: Cigar smokers, I have a question about seasoning a new humidor - Nawlens Gator
Don't use pure water. That will result in a relative humidity of 100% which makes the cigars too moist. You need to dilute the distilled water with propylene glycol. 80% water, 20% glycol (if I remember correctly). This level of glycol will reduce the relative humidity to the desired 70% by redu...

re: did you get whipped as a child/teenager? and with what? - Nawlens Gator
The only legit timeout is on the knees on rice on the corner of a brick floor with your nose against the wall.
I know some people from Raceland who had to kneel on rice. Sometimes for 20 or 30 minutes. On me, my mom used: coat hangers, hair brushes on the back of the legs...

re: Switching out regulator for grill? - Nawlens Gator
The hottest it will get is about 375.
Published flame temperature for natural gas is about 3500 F (propane isn't much higher). Since it's about 1/3 the molecular weight of propane, it takes about 3 times the volume flow to reach similar BTU values. What you have is a flow probl...

re: Need help with cucumber plants - Nawlens Gator
I get what but the cucumbers are already there which means it's not pollination problem.
Wrong! Here's a little education about the birds and bees: The female flowers are at the tip of the little cucumbers that appear first. The male flowers form without the little cucumber....

re: Switching out regulator for grill? - Nawlens Gator
Not sure if regulator is the right word.
It is, and it regulates the gas flow, not the air flow. There must be a take off valve upstream of the regulator you could use. I would remove the regulator and try (throttle the take off valve) to see how hot it gets and go from there. ...

re: Need help with cucumber plants - Nawlens Gator
Mine did that last year and was told they weren't getting pollinated. I learned the difference between male and female flowers and started pollinating with a q-tip. Some still fall off (<10%) but most survive. Picked over a dozen so far this year. I would try pollinating and see if it makes...

re: If you were to get a pellet gun to put some holes in snakes and turles heads - Nawlens Gator
I got a Gamo silver shadow (break barrel) years ago (came with cheap BSA scope) and sent to some guy in Carolina. This guy "tuned it", meaning he changed spring, trigger, seals, and other things. He sent it back with actual test charts showing lead 0.177 pellets > 1,000 fps. I kill squirrels, d...

re: Switching out regulator for grill? - Nawlens Gator
I stopped using regulators years ago and I Have 2 burners. I use a propane tank with a valve at the tank, and another valve inlet one burner for frying, and no valve inlet the burner for boiling. It works so well I wonder why I ever bothered with a regulator in the first place. Try yours with...

re: Land erosion in next 50yrs? - Nawlens Gator
The land loss is due to the previously deposited river sediment no longer being deposited due to levees preventing it. The corps of engineers is constantly dredging this same sediment (they have several LARGE dredges) to keep shipping lanes at prescribed depths and widths. They need to dispose o...
