They are one of THE most hyperactive breeds known to man. My grandparents had one for about 13 years. I'm not joking when I say that little bastard didn't stop jumping and barking until the day he died. They require constant attention and exercise or you'll lose control quickly. He was sweet as hell though.
Note: Dont give one to someone who owns a farm. Very good friend did this and in a weeks time the dog killed three of this guys sheep. The dog ran them so hard that they overheated and didnt stop and they all had heart attacks and died.
Ours isn't. And honestly, i don't really consider her more hyper than any other small dog. Obviously has more energy than our golden but she's not going crazy all the time or anything like people are making it sound like.

My parents Jack Russell is not hyper AT ALL. He mostly just lays around all day in his bed. But when you do play with him, he can go all day. It's not like he is constantly running around though. He also never barks. Never.
He get really excited when they come home and what not, but what dog doesn't?

Thats why my buddy got rid of his. It stayed couped up in his apartment and when he got home it was so excited to see him that it would piss on him and all on the floor. He felt bad and gave it to his girlfriend at the times uncle or grandpa who owned a farm thinking all the open land would help.
