The NFL....in PINK.....

Could there be anything more ridiculous than NFL players and coaches wearing pink to demonstrate awareness of breast cancer?

Is there any more blatant example of how completely woman-driven this culture has become and how women so easily bend men to their wills?

Why else is a man's sport with a largely male audience being used to focus on a disease that overwhelmingly effects women?

Would it not have made a whole lot of more sense to focus on prostate cancer awareness?

Can you imagine the WNBA or the LPGA sponsoring a prostate cancer awareness campaign and having all their participants wear ribbons or some other marker to demonstrate their commitment to it?

No, of course not.....which underscores the point--the social imbalance in American culture that allows women to get whatever they want out of men if they push hard enough, which is why feminism became the norm here while it was rejected in so many other places.......which, in turn, is why America is plagued by social dysfunction that is undermining the entire society and its economy.....

Pathetic......

Awareness campaigns are over rated IMHO, particularly when we probably spend more on breast cancer than any other disease.

It seems like prostate cancer the forgotten cancer would be more appropriate for the NFL. The reality is we spend 7X more on breast cancer while the occurence of prostate cancer is almost 10% more frequent than breast cancer.

You are correct.

Shitty?

Why is it shitty? Because you might have to address the painful truth embedded within my post? And that might entail being critical of "ladies"--which every good p-whipped American male knows is an absolute no-no under any circumstances?

My God, how women must laugh in private at what little tools they have in American men.....especially when they look around the world and realize that men in other countries are not nearly so pathetic and stupid as theirs are......

Men can get breast cancer too.

sorry about that. But I agree with NJ Reb on this. Breast cancer's popularity as the disease to help stop is a monolith. Lung cancer kills about 4x as many people per year. Prostate kills almost as many.

Neither of them get national races, tris, or NFL coverage like this.

The drive towards raising awareness about breast cancer has been great, and helped reduce mortality rates a ton. Its time to use that muscle to help out other areas, not just breast cancer.

@NJReb

Are you retarded?

This is to spread awareness among everybody, and the last time I checked, American population has roughly 50% males.

Every man has multiple women in their life (wife, mother, sister(s), g/f etc.). Whats wrong with knowing about a disease that has the potential to touch every man's life?

If your idea of "manliness" includes complete obliviousness about women's issues, guess what it is "idiotness" not manliness.

Guys are already hooked on the NFL, pandering to them wouldn't get the NFL much. It's not the women driven society conspiracy you originally posited. It's about growth into new markets. Kind of like those pink LSU shirts. They're hideous and blasphemous, but they make LSU money.

I'd think they'd have to do a much better job of solidifying the women's audience before even considering gender specific marketing aimed at men.

It's going to get a helluva lot of publicity for a great cause. Plus, it pairs up with the Susan G. Komen activities around the country.

There is so much hidden truth in your rantings, but I fear you don't actually see much of it.

Minorities= Non-heterosexual white males. Everyone else is in.

And here we have, succinctly stated, the underlying fulcrum of the culture.

If you don't go along with anything and everything women and feminists want, you "hate" women. And if you "hate" women, you must be "gay"....which, of course, makes you unrespectable by other men.

And THIS, my friends, is why women have the upper hand in this culture.....because they can always turn men against each other for their sake......whereas women will never turn against each other for the sake of a man.....

The complete opposite of what exists in 95% of the world's cultures.......and the reason why American men stand out for their emotional dependence on and social weakness vis-a-vis women.....and one of the principle reasons, by the way, that America and its culture have become so vilely hated by most of the rest of the world in the last couple of decades......
