Pretty pup. Just based on those pics, he looks like he has a sweet disposition.

American Bulldog was on the top of my list when we were looking to get a new pup. They seem like great dogs.

Wife was knocked up at the time of negotiations, so the dog discussions were fairly one-sided.

We agreed on a Brittany (see above post for pics of the pup), and I couldn't be happier. She's been a fantastic dog. Eager to please and easy to train.

She is, however, jealous of the attention paid to the baby. She tended to insert herself into situations where everyone was focused on the little one, but with a little tough love via "encouragement collar", she now knows to get on her bed with a finger snap.

American Bulldog

I wanted a purebred one. I got some good advice here and decided on a mix to avoid some of the health problems. It took us a few months to find one. I always had labs growing up and my last dog was a white german shepherd. It was time for something different I guess. We have some friends that have an ABD and we really like her.

Thinking he's going to have lazy arse mastiff temperament.

Pretty dog you got there.

Edit.: had a beagle in between the shepherd and this one. Sweetest dog ever.

Best. Dog. Ever.

Bloodhound. Ended up being 140-150lbs full grown. He was a mini horse. I still have his massively huge collar.... It's 32inches he was a beast. Never did anything wrong and I swear he understood English. . Had to put him to sleep a few months ago

I've had multiple dogs in my life, and none can come close to him. He was great.

Yeah putting him down was brutal. But he had a great long life, as good as it gets for a dog.

I want to get another dog sometime in the near future, but that dog was so good and easy to own that I'm worried the next dog I get would be the complete opposite that dog spoiled me because he was too good and too easy.

Awww I appreciate it. She is a Brittany spaniel/ Irish Setter mix. And she is a pointing fool now. And no she hasn't gotten stoned lately.

Chipper. Completely useless. The only thing he tracks is my wife. My hunting buddy calls him the LHO - the living house ornament.

Sounds about like my beagle. Assuming that is what he is a beagle, huh? I love beagles they have so much personality and if you train them well when they are young they are great pets. I find that is with most hounds. I really want to get a bigger hound when I have a yard that can hold one. Thinking maybe a fox or a coon hound to go with the ole beagle dog.
