Anybody here have any experience owning a rhodesian ridgeback??

Ever since putting my bloodhound down a few months ago (pics pg.8), Ive been wanting to get another pup sometime in the near future. And Im just really interested in the rhodesian ridgebacks. I love how unique they are and how they have that lab / hound mix look. And they dont shed that much which is awesome.

I mean thats a great looking dog right there. And my bloodhound was huge, 140-150lbs full grown so I have plenty of experience handling bigger dogs. Just curious if anyone has any experience with them and thoughts on them.... thanks

My neighbor had one growing up. Really nice dog. Great to have if you want to keep strangers away.

I think he sexually molested the dog, though.

For real. I saw something weird, and other people I know saw something weird. Dude was off his rocker. I think he's dead now.

Sabi.... That's just fricking weird haha.

And Geauxtime... Awesome. Really interested in getting 1 in the near future. When I get another dog, it's gonna be a Rhodesian Ridgeback.

Good choice. I want a larger hound to go with my beagle. You have any experience with a fox or coon hound?

Yeah I think RR are awesome dogs.

And never had a coon or fox hound, but I have had 2 bloodhounds and a Bassett. Bassett was my mothers though and spoiled haha. But the 2 bloodhounds were great, especially my last 1.

And since you already have experience with a beagle, I doubt a fox or coon hound will be any trouble.

Here's Buddy. We adopted him two years ago around the age of one. Best dog ever, unless you're a cat.

Got one dog. Minature schnauzer named Chloe. I can't tell if she's stupid or brilliant sometimes. She's figured out how to open doors, but still will run into furniture.

When they were young the cat would always lay next to the dog and bathe him

Had to put the dog down a couple of years ago. Trying to bargain with the wife for another dog instead of a 2nd kid
