I'll believe you about the 29k, but I don't believe that a 2wd xlt stickers anywhere near 45K

Just looked at my window sticker...MSRP was $44385 (my bad, I was off $615)

You gotta remember, the dealers use the "top MSRP," or "total before discounts" when they start taking off rebates and whatnot not the "Total MSRP"

I also just didn't realize how much ford inflated the 2014 prices over the 2013.

A dealer up here is advertising 2014 4wd XLT crew cabs at $15k off. All msrp were at $44k, so they are $29k. All have "twin turbo V6," not listed as echoboost. Are they the same thing or different motors?

You see, you bought those metro driving slippers and this is what happens.

What's next? A double skinny latte' with Splenda? Taking the wife to a floral exhibit instead of watching sports on the sofa?

Best option in a Toyota Tacoma under $15k and pocket $10k to $15k.

Vehicles are expensive toys - keep the cost down and you'll be happier, long-term.

I am seeing 06+ Range Rovers on ebay for $25k.

Imagine rolling up to the dove field in an effing Range Rover.

Cant shoot doves from a shop.

I am in agreement with you on the factor, though there is a reason why you can find 2006+ models in the 20s

Tundra all the way. I have a 2013 and love it. Big back seat (I know everyone says doesn't matter if its your truck but driving to the camp, road trips etc it matters). And 2013 and earlier tundras back seat can slide forward and recline. Great on road trips.

Subaru Forrester.

Hey now. My Forester takes me camping, kayaking, will get me around in the snow if need be and gets good gas mileage to boot - so when gas goes back to $4/gallon, I won't be pissed filling it up. Safe for me & my son to boot. Love trucks, had plenty, but they are relatively expensive to buy & keep. OB poor here so there's that.

I like a few of the leveled trucks at Pace auto in MS. I'm probably about to trade my ole '99 GMC K2500 gasser and my '11 Tahoe so I can consolidate into one truck. Take your time and get what you want. I got antsy when I couldn't settle on a truck and pulled the trigger on a new Tahoe. Now, I'm driving the old truck more than the Tahoe.

Not sure how the OB feels about the Colorado/Canyon but those are some nice trucks for the money. I'm looking at buying one when diesel comes out.

I've been looking at them for weeks. Just paid my 09 Silverado off 2 weeks ago so obviously have truck fever now. Colorado is a great looking truck.

Just funnin'

They are one of the safest vehicles on the road, excellent resale, and have an extremely high % of college graduates as owners.
