What do you get?

I want:

2011+
Silverado, Sierra, Tundra or F150
4x4 would be nice but not required
crew cab
center console

Anyone who has bought something similar recently, mind posting your out the door cost?

Does it have to be full size?

2015 Toyota Tacoma double cab 4x4 for $31,000.

In November I bought a 2012 f-150 XLT super crew with 4x4 and 25k miles.

28k out the door

Recently bought a 2012 Tundra crewmax - 38K miles. Got it for just over 25K. I feel like I got a really good deal in comparing it with similar trucks listed elsewhere and comparing it with bluebook prices.

$5K on the truck, $25K on a new boat is the only answer

I was in the same boat as you about a year ago. Wanted an F150 which hold their value well. Ended up just buying a new 2013 F150 Lariat 4x4 for just under 40K. If you are going to spend 30k might as well just buy new for a few more thousand. I bet anything ford is giving away the old 2014 models right now.

FWIW I couldn't be happier about my decision.

Spend 17000 on a quality used truck and buu a boat.

Spending more than 20k on a truck is silly.

i just did this in December, i got info and likes/regrets from friends and family but it didnt make 2 shits, they all drive their trucks differently my damn brother beats the hell of his trucks then bitches when something breaks and calls all GM's junk
all i can say is go drive them ALL and make the decision on what you like and what you need it to do.
i ended up going with a 2013 GMC z71 sierra with 19k miles for 33k

You should easily be able to get a new 2014 Ford or Chevy but not with the 4 wheel drive which would probably put you slightly over.

Do you need the truck now? Wait until the end of the year as the next year's models are about to come out. Granted this was 4 years ago, but I got a brand new Silverado crew cab LT 4x4 Z71 for 34k out the door. My dad bought the same day and got an LS 2 wheel drive for 28k.
