This has amazed me a lot of times. I will take pictures of the one that has been in my truck for 1 1/2 years. I pull an 8000lb dry weight gooseneck daily, and the neck has weighted down on the lid a few times, and there is not even a dent. That is house my igloo broke and made me start looking for something else.

Yeti ships them already in the ice chest. That means they are taking them out as they come, or ordering them from yeti which I doubt. What a bunch of assholes.

I like those jeeps.

I live in Canada why would I need a cooler that keeps ice for weeks when from Nov to march you do not even need a cooler ;) You just put your beer outside and it stays cold (sometimes you have to bring it inside or its freezes). I think I will make it w/o a $300+ ice chest

I think its marketability is limited in the great white north ……

I just got a 65 qt yesterday, but I got a 40% discount. To boot, a sweet trucker hat and several stickers arrived in the chest. I'm going to be so freaking cool.

Ill take one...

I decided to bump this thread to compare my new chest to the Yeti. I have a big yeti and an Old beat up original yeti that has served me well but it needs some new parts like latches, gaskets, and a plug. I'm not here to bash Yetis. I like them.

I bought this jewel last Friday and loaded it up with ice for the first time last Saturday when I headed to 4LSU2's camp. I opened it up this evening and it still had ice cold water in it with a handful of cubes. I was impressed.

TLDR: this is a good ice chest.

EtA: it is much lighter than a Yeti.

I've always wanted one if those steel of those steel ice chests so I finally broke down and bought one in a moment of weakness at academy last week.

I had other chests besides my yetis, but I lost 2 of them last week. I forgot I had the tailgate down on my truck when I left with the kids heading to Waffle House after dark in the rain. They didnt make it to WH. Since I was going to the camp, I had to have a replacement since my other Yeti is kinda out of commission.

If ya REALLY want a bad arse cooler, check out the new IGLOO, Yukons.

Mega built and solid, 3/8 inch stainless bolts for hinges.

Solid, solid.

Igloo is gonna frick up big time the sales on the Yetis and Engels

they got others pretty darn similar quality for darn cheaper. it's a branding issue and a status achievement for the poor who need to grip on to something in life before they off themselves.

They aren't as nice, and they aren't as well built and they aren't a whole lot cheaper.

What a sad sack you must be if you think anyone is that attached to a cooler.

The Yukons are terrible. Heavier, hinges and clasps will break, and that stupid molded handle makes it almost impossible to carry by your self because the lid is so damn tall it bites you on the forearm.
