Open up flounder to recreational fishermen year-round. Keep it closed during fall migration for commercial fishermen. Or at least set a reduced recreational limit during October-November.

Not only do you have livescope on your boat, you were quick to upgrade to the lvs34 as soon as it came out just to stay ahead of the curve on ffs.

Get out of here with that.

It’d be nice if they just enforced the rules they already have. Hire more wardens to fight against the poachers and major rule breakers and stop pestering people about having a fricking whistle and cushion in their boat.

Once they finish redoing City Park Lake, I would like to see them manage the lake.
At one time we caught some nice bass out of that lake.

Very interesting topic! Many valid points, but just like with everything else in this country, I believe we should careful in more regulation! LA has so much opportunity for anyone wanting to get outdoors. I have hunted 10 other states besides LA and comparing it to others is like apples and oranges.

bullshite. Let them walk and they will grow. My boss has 1000 acres in Catahoula and they kill 160” deer every year. 15 years ago they had a brown and down policy. They started letting 3 and 4 year bucks walk. Guess what happened.

Hey, looky there. A small place, and they did what they wanted on their own without the governmeng forcing it on everyone else in the state.

Amazing.

Hmm this sounds alot like the police departments and speeding tickets. Don't look for that to change.

Spend it on habitat, NESTING HABITAT, improvements. You can trap all the predators you want, as long as quail habitat is limited, you aren't going to accomplish anything. Our habitat sucks. The only place quail live around me is in sugarcane fields, old pastures, and unmanaged hardwoods, none of which is good quail habitat.

Prescribed burning and repairing our pine savannas will go a long way to fix this.

The solution to the trophy deer convo is split the WMAs up. For example… big lake brown it’s down. Buck horn, main beam or spread restrictions.

There is enough public land to manage it to appeal to different types of hunters.
