Major restrictions on bow fishing, especially during duck season.

5 mile pogey boat buffer.

Pick certain WMAs to manage more for quality bucks, lotto entry, antler restrictions. Some of the ones on NELA and along the Red River would be good candidates.

Better management of our public lands in general, heavier strategic harvest of timber to help generate $ for that particular WMA and help with wildlife habitat.

Set up certain WMAs or areas in some WMAs and manage for waterfowl, do a lotto, similar to White Lake and South Farm but better. Charge to enter the lotto and $ must go to habitat at that area.

Treat the MMAs more like business units in general, find ways for them to generate $ that goes back into that WMA.

Move all seasons later by 30 days. Example archery deer Nov 1- Feb 28. Our cooler weather season now seems to be arriving later, so adjust hunting seasons dates accordingly. Even duck season closes about the time we get the colder weather that pushes them into our state.

Actually enforce littering violations. Especially bank fishing and crabbing locations

$500 first offense
$1000 second offense ans loss of privileges for one year
Castration for 3rd offense

Let each parish determine their hunting seasons within the guidelines set up by the LDWF and the USWF recommendations. Ban mojos. Ban the use of fish finders in tournaments, the scopes that is. Not a big fan of deer corn or the like, but I don't deer hunt, so frick it. Disband the La. Wildlife Commission.

This would be awesome. I thoroughly enjoy sweating my arse off in a tree in October while all the animals are still nocturnal and all, but this makes perfect sense.

LWFD needs to spend more money on issues relating to hunting and fishing (including the commercial industry) The sportsmen in Louisiana are the main funding base not the non-hunter's programs. If they are serious about getting more young people into hunting and fishing stop taxing of youth (deer hunting license), steam line your regulations so we don't need a lawyer to understand the rules and stop the money grabbing from your sportsmen. I was told by one of the past Secretary of LDWF that one day LDWF would overregulate itself out of business. That day is near.

Do some of yall understand that in some areas of this state the vast majority of bucks will never grow antlers outside of their ears?

And what’s with the hard on for shortening gun season?

Y’all are the biggest bunch of anti hunters in the state!

You anti hunting trophy Jackie bushman wannabes are fricking insane. Your shitty 90 acre pine tree lease is never going to be a trophy buck destination hunting paradise no matter what the laws are.

Pogie boats out of state waters. Game fish off the commercial fishing menu all together

It fricking boils my blood when I see stuff I can't legally keep on a restaurant menu.

What's your ideal length of gun season, and why is yours better than theirs?

I like the length of the season the way it is now.

A 2 buck limit wouldn’t make me angry.
Some type of antler restriction wouldn’t hurt my feelings, but you have to be realistic.

Do away with doe days in area 9!!!!

In Mississippi I’d give my left arm for congregative feeding to be outlawed. No feeders, troughs or piles. Heavily patrolled and enforced.

I’d also be interested in banning game cameras, but that’s a wormhole. It makes it more fun to NOT know what’s out there. To NOT name your bucks etc.

I have feeders and cameras btw. I just love thinking about the good old days before these things.

It would also eliminate CWD, Blue Tongue and other diseases. It would also make trapping hogs much easier and more effective.

Makes sense to me but in a private land owner.

Same as now, starting and ending 3 weeks later.

[quote]why is yours better than theirs?

There's absolutely no evidence to support that louisana deer populations are suffering in any way.
