If a flock comes in I am going to try to pick a GH for the first shot but after that its all fair game.

Ringnecks are strict vegans, not bad to eat, just a pain to deal with the skin.

I've eaten them. Terrible. You can have them all.
Come on, Alx, a ringneck is a great duck

Hell yea I shoot hens, especially if I'm hunting in south LA. We historically only have the mallards come to our marsh for about a 2-3 week period.

If I'm at a buddies place in Arkansas, we try for the green, but times can get hard and suzie may not fly back out of the hole.

I also shoot the shiz out of ringnecks and tree ducks for what it's worth

Tree ducks are actually really good to eat. Ringneck worse than coot and hard to clean. Frick them.

Putting an actual duck lower than a coot is a compliment.

If any of you clowns don't put the meat of the gizzards in the pot when you pot roast ducks, you don't know what you are missing. With that being said, a poule deu has a gizzard the size of your hand. One of the reasons coonasses hunt the things down with a fury like you have never seen

I HATE chicken gizzards. Love duck gizzards. But damn, they are dirty.

Flying gizzard. Times got to be tough to start whacking coots though.
