The people who promote catch and release on every single body of water, including an overpopulated ditch, must've been in contact

I've eaten them. Terrible. You can have them all.

If it's a good season, I'll wait on big ducks over the teal. But rarely do I pick out the males intentionally unless it's a good day. Then again, if it's a mallard in the first place it's going down. Not many around SELA

Depends. If we haven't been working a lot of groups I will shoot them. If we have already bagged a good number of ducks, we will work them and let them pass.

Definitely try to avoid it when possible, but sometimes there's nothing you can do.

I'll pick drakes then hens, but will bust the hens unless the hunt is really promising.

If any elusive mallard comes within earshot of me here in NWLA it is getting smoked.

The old timers I hunt the timber with in Arkansas are strictly going for the green. I shot a rogue woody that dropped in with a few mallards 2 years ago and I thought those old bastards were going to drown me.

Nope. Got those pretty straight. Besides, I never hunt where scaups hang out.

These frickers wont even chase a full limit

3 greens a piece and they are on the way to the diner.

On my farm, which is roughly 5 miles from the timber we hunt, times have gotten hard. If it comes in, its not leaving. No more "good old days" of 30 minute limits and all that nice shite.
