What's the tow rating of a Tacoma anyway?

Was wondering that myself. It was a V6 TRD, but he was doing 80 towing that thing. Even going uphill.

6600lb tow capacity but I think the hitch weight is only 350lbs without a weight distribution hitch. I had a 2012 V6 4x4 and my 3000lb boat was very noticeable. Anything over 4000lbs would be a wild ride with no trailer brakes haha. I bet this guy was running it pretty hard doing 80. I had a tough time keeping 70mph with my CC and would hunt for gears at 60

He's on an undercover assignment. Probably has your sister inside acting like she does with you!

I have a Tacoma and there's no way I would tow a boat that big. Stopping would be interesting.

My preference is to have a lot more truck than I need when towing. If the load is 5000 lbs, I want 7500 to 10,000 lbs towing capacity. I also would never go over the max hitch weight rating.

Too busy fishing and living to clean it probably. Be happy for the man.

What's more important how it runs or how it looks? Mine is still dirty from duck season still catches fish fine.

I pulled a bass boat on a 250 mile trip with my taco & that trip sucked. No way I'd pull that boat with one.
