I didn't want my comment in a previous post to get buried so I want to point out some very important differences from shootings in the past:

1. There were multiple shooters.
2. Most reports point to one of them being a woman (breaks the "white male" stereotype of shootings).
3. They had a getaway vehicle.

Shootings we've seen in past years have been perpetrated by one lone evil person (not mentally ill, evil) racking up as high of a body count as he can. He doesn't care if he dies and he expects to die, either by police or by his own hand. They also cower and off themselves at the slightest sign of resistance.

This one is quite different. I personally believe they chose a target like the disabled children's center on purpose. That's the definition of terrorism - to terrify people. And it seems to be working.

So before thinking you can lump this mass shooting together with others, call it exactly what it is - a planned terrorist attack.

Thats exactly what it was. They booby trapped the building with pipe bombs before they left. Their home was rigged with more traps and exsplosives. The radio said this morning, that they had smaller bombs strapped to RC cars just like you would see in the Black Ops games. Not to mention the weapons and armor they had on them.

Anyone devoid of basic critical thinking skills lacks the ability to know this. That's the sad part.

Bapple, my opinion is that 47% of America falls into that category.

Congrats to Obama and all spineless pacifists out there. You make this country look more foolish everyday.

Side Note - Has anyone else noticed that many of the LE at this incident are carrying Ruger Mini-14's instead of the typical AR-15?

I guess this wasn't a true assault from the local police since a true "assault rifle" wasn't used.

I guess those gun laws even affect CA LEO

Wonder if it has something to do with pistol grips. I would much rather an AR platform rifle over the ruger any day.

Would it be chambered in .308 since the suspects were wearing armor?

I think that rifle is currently only available in .223/5.56, .300BLK and 7.62 x 39.

Mini-14® Tactical Now Available in .300 BLK

quote:

The Mini-30 is chambered in 7.62×39 Russian. In 2007, Ruger introduced the Mini 6.8, chambered for the 6.8 Remington SPC (Special Purpose Cartridge). Some export only models were chambered in .222 Remington so they could be exported to countries where civilians are prohibited to own firearms chambered in military calibers. Interestingly, in the mid 1980’s, Ruger announced a version of the Mini-14 chambered for .308 Winchester called the XGI. It was never put into production due to design problems that could not be overcome.

Mini's aren't chambered in full power rifle rounds, that's why they are "Mini-14" or "Mini-30". .223/5.56 or 7.62 Commie

these shitbirds had 1600 rounds of ammo in the vehicle, this further proves my theory that ammo hoarders are terrorist

No plans as of yet. I've been teaching a lot of classes and doing a lot of side work lately so I haven't had time to do reviews.

But I have a friend currently in the process of building a nice range on his land. Once that is set up I should have a place to go and that would be clutch.

The definition of terrorist has become skewed to only apply to Muslim extremists. This guy/girl were, but nobody wants to use it anymore. I'm guessing that was a top-down decision coming directly from DC going to the media and SB cops.

The media was trying to paint it as a disgruntled employee caused by an argument at work YESTERDAY, but one argument at work doesn't lead someone to hastily make pipe bombs, get all weapons and that much ammo loaded up, and picking up their accomplice.

Make no mistake about it, this was planned by someone who had doubled down on their Islamic beliefs, just visited Saudi Arabia, and gathered all of the weapons and made the bombs to perpetuate this

Still don't understand why cops only wear vests today. Most of them are level II or IIIA which rifle rounds will blow straight thru.

If I was a cop I would have rifle plates in my trunk
