True. But you may still die. The energy has to go somewhere and if the plate is stopping it, the energy will still be dissipated into your chest. Broken ribs can stab vital organs.

This is the common argument against "body armor." They act like a person shot in a plate in a plate carrier won't react if shot. It will hurt like a mofo and they will have to react in some way. Sure, they may not die immediately but precious time is bought and a distraction is created. The game plan of the shooter has to change, and that's the important part.

(Not saying you believe any of this, just making a point about plate carriers. )

From what I understand, the newer models are much more accurate.

Has anyone else noticed that many of the LE at this incident are carrying Ruger Mini-14's instead of the typical AR-15?

Prob bought on lowest bid.

An AR-15 with a pistol grip would need a bullet button in Cali. I bet that is why they are using mini 14's.

Man, I'd never even heard of a bullet button until now. Apparently, it's very controversial in CA and possibly not a legal law. You'd think that law enforcement would get a exemption from such a device so they could use AR's, but in CA, who knows?? Those mean and dangerous looking AR's are such a trouble.

Honest people know this. Our media isn't honest though.

They need something to talk about and spin the the dumb masses. Bad guns...those bad guns fault.
