Have a 2016 LT. Had them install leather in it. I've been very pleased.

My bro in law traded in his loaded out eco boost and went and got a duramax Denali 2016. He's a ford guy and said he loves this truck more then any he's had.

I bet he does love it. Usually stepping up to a 3/4 ton diesel is a nice experience.

I can talk you out of it. (and im a lifetime GM fan).

I purchased a 2014 gmc sierra, V8. SLE. I have had spark plug wires fall off, I have had 4 bolts shear off that connect the exhaust manifold to the head, ( this required the head to be taken of and sent out to be drilled and tapped) and the a/c condenser just went out. i have 65k miles on it right now. I may have well bought a Dodge and put a Mercury on my boat for the amount of trouble this thing is giving me. They even didnt want to warranty the bolts breaking off in the head, it took some "convincing" for them to warranty it.

Damn. I feel like I hear more stories like that from GM guys than Ford.

Why can't one manufacturer just get it all right?

Get one but dont get the z71 package, get the regular 4x4 with whatever package you want if you can find one. I do not like the suspension on my Z71, everything else is great.

I had a 2010 Sierra that I only kept for 36,000 because I had the dash replaced, door handles, tail lights, ac blower motor, tranny fill tube, and developed a knock due to a lifter loosing oil pressure. Frick gm products.

I will say the 5.0 motor is significantly louder than the Ecoboost.

That thing must be fricking silent. I went from my college truck (05 Dodge, 1500) to my first truck that I have now a few backs.

A 2012 F-150, Lariat, w/ the 6.2 and I feel like the 6.2 is quiet as hell.

However, I also had flowmasters and cut my cats off my Dodge and changed the exhaust a shite ton on my Dodge so maybe that's why haha.

Two weeks ago I sold a 2008 z71 and due to family pressure was forced to buy a 2017 Denali. After two weeks of driving I am glad I am in the Denali. It does more stuff than I know what to do with. I like the ride, towing power, and performance in the mud.

It's probably not a big deal for most people. And it probably shouldn't be a big deal for me. But chevy/gm still have that damn hump on the floor in the back. Being that I have kids and typically need to store stuff on the floor in the back of the cab, it has me looking hard at an F150.

Don't know if that's anything important to you,

I had an 04 Silverado that I put 160,000 miles on and sold it in 2015. Other than a few cosmetic issues she ran and looked the same as the day I drove her off the lot. Did normal maintenance and had no issues whatsoever.

I'm currently in an 02 Silverado that previously belonged to my father that has 70k mikes. It's a little road noisy now that all the seals are 15 years old and I had to replace the intake gasket last year but otherwise it's held up really well.

I vote yes on the GM.

Both had plenty of power and acceleration.

It was snowing today so the windows stayed up. Radio stays up for the most part when the baby isn't riding with me for that very reason. The road noise is the worst when I'm trying to talk to someone on the phone through Bluetooth.

Oh and a side note, the heater in my current F150 is currently not working. Blowing straight cold arse air.

I had an 09 sierra with the 5.3, and it had a Black Bear Tune in it.

My '17 silverado can shite and get just like my sierra.

My only grip is I didn't pay enough attention when I purchased the truck and I don't have auto dimming rear-view mirrors anymore. I saw the green light (later realized it was OnStar) when I was test driving (daytime) and figured it was a dimming mirror since it was more expensive than my 09 was.

It is not...pissed I was.

Damn sounds like a pos. But that kind of shite doesn't bother me, aside from no heat.

Without reading all the replies,I'm sure everyone has a story of nightmares with every brand. I went from an 06 Silverado that I put 165k miles on to a 13 Silverado that currently has 60k without any real problems with either. Broken tailgate handle and A/C blower motor on the 06. No worries on the 13 yet.
