Hooked up on a small (3-3.5') gator on a ribbit frog in Bayou Chicot. Fought him for a few minutes then gave him slack and he let go.

Killed a dillo with a baseball bat.

Caught a catfish on a chatterbait.

Had a bass jump in the air and catch my senko on a flip.

I've caught pouldeau and ringnecks with bare hands running to blind in the am. Last year I popped up from laydown on a flock of teal and one hit the lid on my blind. It tumbled to ground and took off again. I caught a widgeon drake in a cast net a few years back.

Caught trout on a jighead (nothing on the hook), and caught them one after another the second it hit the water. Surf fishing on one of those 3-4 day north Chandeleur Island chain trips out of Mississippi (which, if you haven't done it, falls into the "trip of a lifetime" category).

Bullfrogs on beetlespins.

Killed a coon with a machete on the porch.

Caught a dozen or so wounded deer and killed with a pocket knife.

Had a 3lb bass jump into my boat one day for no apparent reason. It was odd.

Once roped an emu(I don't advise trying this).

Had a spike run between the truck and trailer while going down the road once. I pulled over to check and he had loaded himself on the trailer. He was only about 1/3 dead, so I quickly tied his head to the 4wheeler with the loose end of a ratchet strap, stuck him in the lungs with my pocket knife, and let him bleed out while on the road to the house. It was pretty unusual.

Also killed a deer with a 6' t-post once.

Had something like that happen.

Me and my cousin were hunting dove in my back yard with a pellet gun. We were shooting when they landed on the roof they would roll off and we would get them. One landed on a flatter part of the roof and only rolled about halfway down. We tried everything short of climbing up there when my moms cat climbs up a tree, jumps on the roof, grabs the dove, and brings it to the ground and leaves it for us.

I was like

Wen turkey hunting with my dad, and he decided to get the truck stuck 1.5 miles from the camp, so we walk back to the camp, I was carrying the shotgun. We reached the camp and he went to sleep inside and I fell asleep outside on the porch. I dreamt I heard a bird gobbling, but it wasn't a dream. There was railing around the porch so just my head was above it. A long beard steps out into the field behind the camp at 60 yds and sits down. I was all like no damn way. I called my dad and he answered and was pissed I had woken him up. There happened to be an old door that was behind the chair I was in. Some how he managed to get it open and in one motion I grabbed the gun stood up and shot the turkey. I was in my socks. He had 12 in beard and 1 1/2 in spurs

In JR high I shot a blue jay with a blow gun my dad bought from the sportsman show in NOLA. It was absolute luck b/c I was never able to shoot another one. Also shot one of those big bumble bees with a b.b. gun while it hovered in mid air. Pure luck again. That's all I got.

I killed a opossum with bottle rockets. I think he eventually held his breath till he died. I will answer to the big man for that 30 minutes.

Knocked a spine shot deer out with a log. Made him woozy enough to stab with my broken arrow till I let his air out.

I thought I killed a miniature dachshund with a thrown Tony Lama..

Oh, and witnessed a startled coot fly into a dock and kill itself on Lake Bruin.

During New Years one time we were popping fireworks at the camp and they had bats everywhere. We started throwing firecrackers in the light and the bats would try to get them. After lots of tries we finally knocked one out the air. Nasty little thing was crawling on the ground with a hurt wing, no one ever believes me but it happened

I caught a beaver while fishing the Etowah river for Striper. It was dark, and we were fishing some rapids. I thought I was hauling in a monster, and when it got up to the boat, my brother cut the line when he realized what it was.
