Looks like a strain of crabgrass... Being that it's a grassy weed, and it's in Bermuda, MSMA should zap it.

I have similartype grass as in pic and repeated treatments of MSMA have only turned it slight yellow
I use 3oz per gallon solution
Can I use more?
I was spraying weekly and it started yellowing my Bermuda so I stopped
I know the Bermuda will b fine but I'm thinking I'm done till next spring or can I fight it this fall

Had someone tell me it was doveweed. Looked it up and it looks the same with similar description. Doing some research before I dig up my yard and start over

Sure does look like doveweed....I'll have to shoot a line to Dr Strahan tomorrow and ask about control options, if MSMA hasn't produced results

Hard to say if you were using enough MSMA, because 3oz per gallon could be way different according to who's spraying. Really need to calibrate the sprayer to know how much product you are putting down per area. My backpack sprayer calibrated for me is at 850 sq ft per gallon...usually MSMA can take out any grassy weed in Bermuda, but if you have access to Revolver I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to try. Revolver is listed for doveweed, which looks similar to that picture. Also, Revolver is compatible for tank mixtures with MSMA, so that 1,2 punch may be what it takes to kill it.

Bootlegger, do you do lawn maintenance professionally? I need to get a guy around Hammond/Ponchy to get my lawn right.

I do it for the recreation district in the area. Haven't done anything on a residential level, but I would be willing to come give advice over a few beers

We've got 5 Hibiscus Plants in our front flowerbed. One went from healthy as a horse to really, really doing poorly the past two weeks.

I finally took a few pictures this morning. Look at this fuzz stuff on the flower and the leaves. I'm guessing this is some type of fungus?

What is it?
Where did it come from?
How can I treat the plant and get it back healthy?
How can I prevent whatever this is moving forward?

Maybe someone else can chime in and help out....my certification is in Ornamental and Turf, but I only use the turf portion of that

I'm next to useless on ornamentals and flowerbeds

Did googling and it looks like "Powdery Mildew," and a lot of people swear by a 1:10 solution of milk and water sprayed onto the plant to combat it.

We'll see. Would suck to lose this one this late in the year.

Check underside of the leaves for whiteflies. Looks similar to the webs they create.

On Bermuda, stick with 3 applications of Quinclorac. 2 weeks between each application, starting in the spring. It's the most viable option out there, even according to LSU AgCenter.

For now, burn it back with MSMA at around 55-60oz/acre

The hibiscus has mealybugs. You can remove them by hand/stream of water, insecticidal soap or a insecticide. I generally use a contact insectide instead of a systemic insectide to keep from killing other beneficial insects long term. Mealybugs usually attack plants that are stressed so make sure the hibiscus is being watered properly, getting the right sunlight, not planted too deep etc....

Revolver slightly stunned it.... Gonna do some research but looks like a pre emergent in the coming spring is my answer
I'm hoping to hit it this fall as my Bermuda goes dormant but not sure what to use

Managed to find a small patch of it on one of the fields here. This is it 4 days after an MSMA & Certainty application. Looks like a second round should finish it off. I will keep you posted.

I'm getting a slight brown on tips nothing more......
I'm thinking I'm not getting the right coverage\dosage with my spraying technique
Gonna up dosage and try the revolver again with MSma
