What exactly is your question about St Aug? Your post also mentions bermuda.

I'm not big on granulars for broadleaves, because you usually have to try to apply when the leaves are wet, dew is down, etc. I still use selective broadleaf killers during the summer, but only late in the evening or on cloudy days when the temp is below 90. If you follow the labeling, selective broadleaf herbicides work best during the spring, but CAN be used during the summer for spot spraying.

I have St. Aug, but that was a email from La Nursery saying what should be done to your lawn right now.

Kind a mixture but its mostly looks like stiltgrass( a very fat looking St Aug leaf)
Thanks for the help

Sedgehammer around azaleas? Can I use it without hurting my plants?
Posted on 6/28/15 at 10:34 pm to CoachChappy
Yeah just spray in low wind. I always spray early morning.

Ok. I thought I had clicked the Poli Board, and I took this thread title the wrong way!

After not being able to cut the grass for 2 weeks due to rain, I've got a sea of reddish what appear to be seed heads waving-from across the street, looks like a green wheat field-is this a clue to what kind of lawn I inherited? Certainly not the beautiful yard of St. Aug I'm leaving behind.

What rate were you using the MSMA at? Crabgrass is an annual, so preemergent in the spring is your best bet

Anyone experienced with "sensitive plant", AKA "touch-me-not", i.e. Mimosa pudica? While a very cool plant in some ways, it's not sensitive to my want that it not take over my whole yard. It is aggressive as hell, but I seem to be slowing it down with Ortho Weed B Gon Max. Triclopyr is supposed to work well, but in the fine print, I read not to use on Centipede lawns.

Boot, would it be safe to spray my beds with image for weeds? I've got 10 different kinds of shite popping up everywhere and want to just wipe it all out without damaging by plants or grass.
Posted on 7/26/15 at 8:20 am to ChadJones4Heisman
Yes, just don't use Image around annuals or azaleas.
Species tolerant to Image:
A bucket of 10% Roundup solution and a paint roller works well in beds, too.

What the frick is this and how do I destroy it? Decided I was going to round up a section and try to re sod. That shite laughed at the roundup. Almost looks like a carpet grass and is "crunchy" when I walk on it.
