Got my first slam ever in Delacroix. Redfish are thick in there, but I wanted to see if I could get a slam today. Went straight to a deep hole feeding out of a cut into a lake. Sure enough I caught a solid 17" trout on my fourth cast. Had plans of paddling all the way to little lake, but I did more exploring more than anything. Right before I was going to leave the hole, I hooked up with what I thought was another trout. Ended up being a 1.5 lb flounder. Soon after I went to a duck pond that always holds fish and I threw a weedless fluke to a fat 25" fish and he nailed the bait. Caught a few more reds, but I was looking for trout without much success. Water was real dirty most places I went and it was extremely low. Oh and myt tracker said I logged nine miles today. My shoulders are sore.

Awesome. I'm pretty sure I saw you about 5:30 am Saturday at the ice machine in Chalmette.
