One time in the east zone in LA I saw a real, live greenhead. It was pretty wild.

Was in the blind a few years ago when we killed a Mallard X Pintail.

Couple of years later had another friend that was in the next blind down from that one that killed a hermaphroditic Mallard Hen. She had a green head, yellow bill, gray sides and start of a curly-q and orange feet.

My buddy killed a hen goldeneye last year.

This year we killed a grey/wigeon hybrid. That was pretty cool. We also killed a mottled/mallard cross.

We are on our way back from east Kansas now. LSUCouyon got a triple of Barrow's Goldeneye. DU said they are from out west around Alaska and BC.

Rarest duck for me would be a Ross’ goose .. essential a petite snow goose bout the size of a mallard. Shot one in the Atch back in the day, pre smartphone etc (so we couldn’t google it to see what it is) we were wondering if a midget snow goose would get us in trouble w/ green jeans. Turns out they count towards your white front limit.

Get the odd brant goose where Ii live now, they are not rare on east coast but uncommon in Great Lakes.

Dave Luke says it may be a hybrid. Trying to get more pics of it for him.

ETA: Dave Luke confirms it is a juvenile Atlantic Brant

FIL took me to Dakota when I started feeding his daughter back in '96. We killed a pile of Canadian GEESE, and since I'll probably never go back, that's pretty damn rare to me.

You'll be able to kill Canadas all over this area soon. That feral flock keeps growing

Need to build a blind behind the Menard baseball field. Big group came over a few days ago and had me reaching for a gun.

You may want to edit that post!
Claiming you and your FIL murdered a "pile" of citizens of Canada could get you in some major trouble!
