Been lurking this thread for a while; here's my pair as they stand now:
S&W Magpul M&P 15 .223
S&W M&P 15-22
The .223 is about to undergo an overhaul. Putting a lo-pro gas block with a Daniel Defense mid Lite Rail III and a Burris PEPR mount for the scope. Also just bought a Burris FastFire III to swap out with the scope (I plan on grabbing another for the .22 also). I've been looking at drop-in triggers but still haven't made up my mind on one (Recommendations Welcome!).

Geiselle. I have the SSA, but hear the G2S is very similar and less money. They have a variety of models for applications and can catch on sale if you look around a little while.

if weight is not an issue sure, there isn't much wrong with them. they are built like a tank.
i have AAC cans, the M4-2K and SDN-6. if i were to do it over i would skip the M4-2000 and just get the .308 can and run it on my 556 guns as well
