Hard to believe how the clowns in state government could present this with a straight face

My blood pressure I high right now.

Good grief, this is one of the dumbest things I've seen proposed by this state and that's quite an accomplishment. These politicians are straight stealing by taking a salary.

As a fisherman myself, that sounds like a lot better system than squeezing all of my red snapper fishing into June when there might be bad weather or when family obligations get in the way,"
How about our governor's quote. What a douche nozzle!

"150 anglers selected at random"
Yeah Right! I'm sure they have already selected the 150 "anglers"

It's to the point with the red snapper fishery that folks should just keep fish whenever and wherever they want. Don't take a stupid amount, but this is getting to be too much.

I will gladly appear as counsel of record and participate in any lawsuit against the state the dept and any POS politically connected a-hole included in the 150. This is bullshite.

Sounds like the citizens of Louisiana need to have a Boston Tea Party type protest where everyone catches a bunch of Red Snapper and dumps them at some government agency. That, or some kind of covert operation where some type of dumping occurs.

100% bullshite. frick you JBE

So basically nothing is going to change other than 150 people get a chance to provide more data to help promote regional management, what's the big issue?
Posted on 5/25/17 at 8:35 pm to JAB528
Why should they get to play by different rules?
Posted on 5/25/17 at 8:39 pm to TJG210
To help obtain more data to maybe let us all be able to have a decent federal red snapper season?
Posted on 5/25/17 at 8:41 pm to JAB528
Your fooling yourself if you think that's the end game here. Why can't the state ask anyone who wishes to fish for red snapper get a free license where they download this app and report back?

Don't pretend like these 150 are doing the ldwf a favor.
If 150 can do it, everyone can do it. The ldwf can obtain infinitely more data if everyone logs their catch.
For the state to say "you can keep snapper today, but no one else can" is inherently unconstitutional on a few different levels.

This is what it looks like when the government no longer fears the people....

They can get all the data they want easily without creating a fishery open only to a limited few people. If 150 data sources is good, then 1,500 data sources is 10x better.
Why are you against having as much data as possible?
