How much shotgun ammo you stock?

People often posting about handgun ammo supplies they have. The other day it dawned on me that if there was ever a need, I may have a better chance huntin up some vittles with a shotgun than a .22.

I've got 4 or so cases of dove loads. Steel shot about 2.5 cases.

Valid question.
I dont stock ammo, but when I have gone to look for shells during the past 2 duck seasons, the pickings have been extremely slim on steel shot.
Somebody hoarding...

I have about 2.5 cases of steel shot. About 1.5 cases of random bullshite for my 12. A box or two in 10. Probably got a case for 20. A few boxes for my 4-10.

provbaby around 10-15 cases mainly 16 & 20 gauge stuff that is harder find...

I have had the same experience...I will have to start buying some steel before the season to keep from having to buy crap shells as I need them during the season...
I will be glad when this irrational bullshite fades away....

I think I have ~1500 rounds of 20ga and another 500 or so rounds of 12ga. I'll shoot through that in 4-6 weeks. I buy it in large quantities when it's on sale. If I could find powder anywhere I'd just reload all the hulls I have in the shop.

enough to stop several hundred, maybe thousand, people from coming thru my door. all different kinds of loads for my 12 gauge, mostly squirrel shot for my 410

I usually have 100 to 200 rounds of #6 and #8 each on hand.
Got a good deal on some buckshot a few years ago, about half a case worth. Still have most of that.
And about a case of skeet loads. I don't do a lot of shotgunning.

maybe 1/2 a case of steel left over (but there is a canasa goose season in 2 weeks - so maybe I will use some of it up. case of 20 ga skeet/clay loads and many many many 12 skeet/clay reloads - my son and a cpl of his buddies shoot so 400+ rds in an aft is not uncommon. I buy powder by the 8 lb container

You can find dove load cheap at Academy. I always pick up a few boxes when they have it for around $4 a box

Got bout 75 cases if lead shot. About 1000 shells of buckshot and turkey loads apiece.
